Increasingly, relocation appraisal orders are including special appraiser instructions that would require the appraiser to potentially break the laws governing appraisers, putting their license to practice at risk and also placing them in potential jeopardy of being charged by the IRS with assisting in tax avoidance. These instructions could also place the employer's home purchase plan at risk with the IRS.
